Mozilla Updates Firefox 2.0.0.14 for Garbage Collection

Barely three  weeks after its last update, the Mozilla Firefox 2.x browser is again being patched for a security issue. Firefox 2.0.0.14 fixes a single issue that is a result of a fix that Mozilla made in the Firefox 2.0.0.13 release.

The fix for 'Crash in JavaScript garbage collector' MFSA 2008-15 that Mozilla fixed with Firefox 2.0.0.13 is the culprit.

Mozilla explains in its advisory that the fix, introduced a stability problem:

This is being fixed primarily to address stability concerns. We have no demonstration that this particular crash is exploitable but are issuing this advisory because some crashes of this type have been shown to be exploitable in the past.
